The reality is, no matter how big your workspace is, it will never feel like enough space. Here are a few tips to help you get organised and get the most out of your work-space.
1. De-clutter
Optimise your workspace by just keeping the important things you need on a daily basis to get the job done at hands reach on your desk. Additional items like extra stationery, store away in desk drawers but make sure everything has a home, so that you know where to find it easily. Remember a disorganised workstation leads to a cluttered mind.
2. Cable management
Tangled cables can become a pain and unsightly. Make sure you utilise the cable management system provided with workstations. Most workstations come with either cable trays that run under the underside of the work surface, or expandable cable sleeves which has great versatility by conforming to bundles of odd shapes & sizes of cables. These systems neatly and effectively keep all cables neatly tucked away, where they belong, and make your work-space look much more presentable.
3. Personalise your workstation
Without adding additional clutter, add a personal touch. Whether that be a plant, a desk lamp, photo or something motivational. Surround yourself with something that inspires you and makes your workstation feel like your own.
Lastly, keep your work-space free of crumbs and food finger prints. Get up, stretch and breathe in some fresh air. We all know the importance of breaking away from your work space to clear your mind and revitalise your body. Plus you will enjoy your food more by eating in a non-stressful environment.
